Wijhe
The village of Wijhe situated at the IJssel River in the eastern part of The Netherlands has 6,300 inhabitants. The village is known for its fine location near several nature areas including De Duursche Waarden that spread out on both sides of the IJssel River.

Zwolle
The old hanseatic city of Zwolle is the capital of the eastern Province of Overijssel and is home to around 110,000 people. Historic facades, wonderful mansion houses, city walls and canals: that is Zwolle in a nutshell. Despite Zwolle being a lively provincial city with all the facilities you would expect, it has not lost any of its intimacy. The centre, with its striking old gothic city hall, is a fine place for shopping and evenings out. There is choice enough. The area also offers lots of natural beauty, for example the floodplains along the IJssel River.

sv Wijhe '92
The IJssel Trophy is organised by SV Wijhe ’92. The club was founded in 1992 after a merger of VV Wijhe and IJsselboys. The football section has 29 youth, 10 senior teams and one ladies team.

Facilities
The matches for the IJssel Trophee are played at Sports Park Wijhe, situated on the outskirts of the small village of Wijhe. It has 3 grass pitches, an artificial pitch, a cosy clubhouse and several dressing rooms. Next to the sports park you will find the municipal open-air swimming pool.

The IJssel Trophy is one of those international youth football tournaments without too many frills that is still very popular among participants. The secret: a good, well-organised programme. With over 40 teams, organiser SV Wijhe ’92 is one of the larger local clubs which is why it has quite a lot of organisational talent. All participants stay in a holiday park in a woodsy environment with attractions such as a disco, cinema and in- and outdoor pool. In short, your programme is well-filled during this international youth football tournament in Zwolle.
